DEAN'S WORLD OF TERROR

The way I see it, violence is a part of life like sex or eating or shitting. It's what animate beings do. It's part of us. The really scary things, the unknown, the intangibles have been taken out of our lives by science and knowledge. That's where horror comes in. It reminds us of what it is to be a victim.

So here is my small shrine to the primal dark side of the soul. Enjoy.

DEAD WRONG: Starring Bruce Campbell, Directed by John Carpenter

The Story: Kings Cross gets overrun by zombies.
The Verdict: OK, so this movie hasn't actually been made yet. But how cool would it be. Sample some now:

EXT. KINGS CROSS - LATE AFTERNOON

This film, written by me and if Directed by John Carpenter, has the potential to join the elite shambling hall of fame alongside NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and DAWN OF THE DEAD. It's a veritable flesh-eating, head-stomping, skin-crawling, stomach-churning, foot-munching cavalcade of gore. And I plan on throwing some titty in, for good measure. Unfortunately, of course, I don't have the money to fund the budget yet myself, but if you are interested in funding a low-budget horror pic (or you are Mr Carpenter) contact me now at dean@videoboy.com.

THE CROW: Starring Brandon Lee, Directed by Alex Proyas

The Story: The archetypal movie that represents a sub-culture and presses the buttons of cute Goth chicks worldwide.
The Verdict: It's a pretty standard revenge-from-beyond-the-grave flick, lifted by some beautiful visuals, a good soundtrack and gore.
